I have been a resident of the North Shore for 54 years.

I was a graduate of West Bay elementary School and then, one of the students of the first Graduating class from Hillside School in 1967. At Simon Fraser I earned a BA with Honours majoring in Economics and Commerce and minors in psychology and communications.

Over the next 25 years, in the textile business, I became well educated in the skills of negotiating contracts, handling staff and people and serving to the respective benefit of all parties. In those years, I learned exceptional lessons in Commercial Real Estate through the redevelopment of Gastown, working with property owners, Woodwards, Sears, Sinclair Center, and the City of Vancouver.

In the early 1990's, I was in marketing and management of a BC hardwood flooring company, while I  completed my Real Estate certification. In 1993, I made the transition to Real Estate, where I achieved several career enhancements including a professional course in Home Staging. I attained the designation of  an "Accredited Staging Professional - Realtor"

In my spare time, I love to contribute to the community where I live. This has included 10 years with the Horseshoe Bay Business and Community Association where I spent many of those years as Chairman. Today, I continue as an active participant in what has become the Western Residents Association.  I am also a member of the Advisory Board for Elder College, an outreach of Capilano University and I am very supportive of the "Full Blossom Network", bringing networking and resources to the 55+ group. Lunch at 'The Club' often means stopping in at the West Vanacouver Seniors' Center. For many years and I have a fascination with using the wind to create turbine electric power at the residential level.

Today my wife and I are blessed with our son Stephen and Daughter-in-law Leslie,  and 4 wonderful grand children.

Areas of involvement include waterfront properties and water views, business and commercial properties, strata title, retreats, businesses and seniors. I have been very fortunate to be involved in several dynamic projects. My clients have come from as far away as Toronto, Montreal, Miami, Korea, Kuwait and the British Isles, Mexico, Switzerland, Iran and more recently several from Australia. Closer to home, I have sold in all areas of the lower mainland, including, Squamish, Bowen Island, Whistler, North Vancouver, South Vancouver and Surrey and of course, West Vancouver.

Future I am fortunate to be a part of  the largest population bubble in history called the  "Baby Boomers". Boomers were born between 1946 and 1964 according to the U.S. Census bureau. 'Wikipedia' says "As a group, they were the healthiest, and wealthiest generation to that time, and amongst the first to grow up genuinely expecting the world to improve with time." This very large group is now starting to retire to enjoy the life-style that we have worked hard to attain. The population that comprises  this group is now becoming known as "seniors". Much of my success, is that I have the patience and sensitivity to work with seniors. Recently, I have completed courses on Relocation, both nationally and internationally and I now have the 'SRES', Seniors Real Estate Specialist and the Accredited Buyer's Representative Certificates. Vancouver offers a place of security and peace and many of the best life-style choices in the world.  As the Boomers return to their roots, I am ready to help them transition back, and also ready to help others who wish to settle here.
